I don't blame them. She doesn't even need to win. We judge her according to wins, and while I am sure she wants to win, the marketing brings streams of cash. It's all about the Benjamins.
Look at what LeBron did. He shortened the deal so he can cash even bigger next time. He called it a "business decision", and he has the right to make it.
I think we put more emphasis on winning sometimes than the athletes do. They always say winning is the most important thing, but it's the money. Wie and James "know" they will win eventually. They will make all the dough they can on the way.
The only thing that bothers me about Wie is she is taking a spot from a man out there working his butt off to make it. Even if it is a sponsor's exemption, that could go to a man also. If he were allowed to go on the LPGA to earn, it would be legitimate.
