A titan of thoroughbreds who never received the proper measure of respect. For some reason, she rarely gets mentioned when the topic of great horses comes up.

I've seen that Breeders Cup race a hundred times, and it still surprises me she gets there every time.

May I suggest golf, knitting, or perhaps coin collecting?

Working right now on head covers for my clubs. All joking aside--it's weird how tastes change. I love shooting hoops, always have, but the other night at a court in the park, felt myself pulled to the trunk to take out the sticks and work on my pitching. Now prefer a game i'm mediocre at to one i'm very good at. Felt like an imposter in my own body. It's the same with other pursuits, i was once a voracious reader, but now spend that time attempting to write fiction. It's not like my passion for racing-or hoops- died, it's just that other things now occupy some of my attention. I sometimes get the impression that mnr fans assume i'm an all racing all the time guy..and nothing could be further from the truth.

I think that is true with a lot of horseplayers, and one of the reasons handle is down.

On Sunday, if my 3 1/2 year old niece asks if I can take her to Chuck E Cheese, I don't hesitate. A couple of years ago, I don't answer the phone no matter who calls.

My clubs do have a heavy coating of dust, although I do hit a couple of balls in the lake in my backyard once a week.

My basketball game is totally back, but only because I had to lower the hoop to 8 FT for the niece.

Its good to have alot of interests. And to me should be a positive on a horse players $ bottom line and mental bottom line.

I work, have my family, play golf, addicted to Kindle, play the wii, amazed that I have time to play horses, lol. But again keeps me fresh

All about balance

Keeps me busy for sure.
