Is that why you are moving to Amarillo, because is very close to Oklahoma?

Actually ,I was refering to the Hurricane in Texas that night, but Texas is a big ste,It probably did not affect all areas, but while on the subject, how does a person from Texas find their interest in Harness racing? Is it a grass roots thing, there are no tracks there, not even fairs,if I'm not mistaken. Just Curious since there are alot of fans from the southwest and Texas. I think of the sport being a sport foreign to Texas, fill us in,it would be educational for me,thanks-GM

-amarillo, a blast from the past...true story...1975
while on leave from electronic school (va.) i was traveling cross country headed for san diego to report to my submarine (compliments of usn) and knew of a restaurant called the 'big texan', home of the 72 ounce steak...the deal was 19.95 and if you could eat the meal within an hour the meal was free....the meal consisted of one roll, 4 cocktail shrimp, one baked potato and one 72 oz. steak....a day and a half before i got there (amamrillo) i prepped for the meal at the 'cattlemens steak ranch' in oklahoma city, ok...an all you could eat 7 oz. steak and i ate 7 of them....at 'the big texan' with 10 minutes to go, i had consumed the entire meal with the exception of about 4 oz....and i could eat no more.....so i had to pay..(i didn't want to lose it)....the record at the time was 16/18 minutes and 2500 people had signed the book...i passed out in the car after the meal (i was with my girlfriend) and awoke in albuquerque, new mexico and had a severe big mac attack..it was like i had been addicted to beef.....
