August Harness weekly Contest

After we enter Nip's Saratoga contest on Wednesday,and since BigM is closed,we can go a few different ways, Mohawk on thursdays, Wednesday Hawthorne is still running. Lets try this
Wednesday aug 6 Hawthorne races 2,3,4,5,6 (race 2 post time at about 8:40 eastern time,6th goes off about 10 pm eastern time)
Thursday races 4,5,6,7,8
Pick 4 horses,boxed trifectas,exactas,pick 3's and pick 4's
Pay offs exactas $10 ,trifectas $3 ,pick 3's $2 and pick 4 $1-Gm

Race 2

3-XERXES-Has raced well throughout the Hawthorne meet and continues to find fields he can handle. Has the early lick to get himself involved from the outset and might be set for another victory. 1A-THESECOLORSDONTRUN-Trainer looking for a title in the last week and sends out two for the price of one. This gelding showed a little late pace in most recent mile and might be the one to fear. 5-CB THREE-Steady performer paced an even mile two weeks ago, but he’s shown throughout his career a nice winning record. Third time over the surface an additional plus. 6-ULTIMATEWEAPON-Stands a strong chance in this relatively short field and her race three-back might be enough to better this rating.

Exacta Box 1-3-5 Trifecta 1-3/1-3-5/1-3-5-6

Race 3

2-WISCONSIN GIRL-Improving from start to start and may be set to graduate to the win column with a reasonable trip. 5-FOX VALLEY MAGENTA-Not a bad debut and should only be better with the experience behind her. Was bet with both fists in that race and figures to be tough right back. 8-DRY CREEK DAME-Goes inside to outside and that won’t make things easy, but she did finish second in last start and that’s more than the others can say. 4-WHATIFTHERE’SMORE-Firt-time pari-mutuel start for this filly and her qualifier indicates there may be some talent within.

Exacta box 2-5-8 Trifecta 2-5/2-5-8/2-4-5-8

Race 4

5-FINN JET-Blew away a similar field in latest outing. Anything resembling that powerful brush to victory, would make him dangerous once again. 2-FOOMANCHU-Ironically was disqualified two-back and then placed first in last outing do to an infraction from the actual winner. Either way his form is pretty sharp and might be able to get a win the old fashion way…earn it. 8-LIVEWHATIBELIEVE-Made up some ground in the race the top choice romped. Deep closer may not get the necessary pace to close into. 4-RUFF HOUSE-Winless on the year and unraced since July 16, he nonetheless has as much talent as the rest of this field and must be considered.

Exacta Box 2-5-8 Trifecta 2-5/2-5-8/2-4-5-8

Race 5

1-RAGING CHARACTER-Looks for three in a row and benefits from the perfect draw. Hard to look past at a short price. 7-SPRING BLOOM-Made a late brush in latest to finish a distant third. Set her lifetime mark at this track and will be a threat through the lane. 5-MATTNAMARAS QUEEN-Another late closer did well to finish second in latest race. Doesn’t seem as quick as the choice, but might also be a late factor. 4-CALIFORN YAH-Nice-trip winner for Hiteman, but will likely need to pace faster in this spot to cash for better money.

Exacta Box 1-5-7 Trifecta 1-7/1-5-7/1-4-5-7

Race 6

6-KID KINSALE-Strong brushes in last two netted him thirds in both races. Might be able to time his late run a little sooner and land the top prize. 7-BALIN HANOVER-Drops a little for this race, and although he last few have been shoddy, he rates a strong chance with the weaker competition. 3-JEREMY MOON-Has a much better post tonight to help keep him closer early. Classy sort is clearly capable of beating them all. 4-THIRD RATE ROMANCE-Has been closing from way back without threatening. His late rally might reward him with a smaller slice.
