    TwinSpires.com was recently the victim of a cyber-attack that exposed some personal information of a small subset of customers.

    Affected customers will be notified via mail in a letter dated August, 31, 2012.

    According to our independent security experts, there is no evidence any usernames, passwords, credit card or bank account information was accessed.

    Because we respect the privacy of our customers, we have arranged with Experian, a leading credit monitoring service, to provide affected customers with identity protection services that include credit monitoring of all three credit bureaus for a year.

    TwinSpires.com is providing a hotline that is staffed with representatives specially trained to help affected customers with any questions. Customers with questions can call toll-free at #888-451-6559 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday.

    TwinSpires.com has also arranged with Experian to provide affected customers with a 12-month ProtectMyID Alert membership, at no cost to the customer, which includes:

    Credit Report: A free copy of Experian credit report.
    Daily Credit Monitoring: Alerts the customer of suspicious activity including new inquiries, newly opened accounts, delinquencies, or medical collections.
    Identity Theft Resolution: If you have been a victim of identity theft, you will be assigned a dedicated Experian Identity Theft Resolution Agent who will assist you through the fraud resolution process, from start to finish.
    $1 Million Identity Theft Insurance: As a ProtectMyID Alert member, you are immediately covered by a $1 million insurance policy that can help you cover certain costs including lost wages, notary fees, reasonable mail charges, long distance phone charges, private investigator fees, and unauthorized electronic fund transfers.

    So some info was exposed but there is no evidence it was exposed, so we'll just give these customers free ID theft Peotection because we're good guys.

    They should delete their cookies and restart.
