Why not? Nobody wants it bad enough in that division. The Mets are playing like the Bad News Bears (5 errors, not touching bases, etc.), and have no clubhouse leader. Bunch of "Where's my check"? losers. Manuel will not be around by late summer.

Yes, well, it will either catch up to them, or maybe they can keep outslugging everyone in that hitter's park they play in.

Starter ERA going to come down with Hamels getting healthy and Park shipped to the bullpen in place of a decent-looking 5th (pitched a winning game vs. Yanks yesterday).

I would worry more Manuel sticking with your golden boy closer. I am the happy owner of 3 of his 4 blown saves. Luckily today they came back.

i am watching the game and i say stop auto coaching

keep madsen in there

they actually didnt hit him too much but they were a bunch of .240 hitters

yankees matseo-.244

then two guys hitting 240 and 22o something

madsen might have to be the closer

A predictable 4-loser team race in the NL East; any chance the NL East winner could finish under .500?

The Mets at least have an injury excuse, although I think they are a rudderless team with no clubhouse leader and poor on-field managing.

No reason to panic yet

1. Even with all the BS, they're only 5 games behind the same point last year
2. They weren't the best team most of '08 either, just best team at right time
3. They can still win games with their offense
4. They are in the NL East
