okay i got alot of info and sometimes can help you with advice on animals if need be

gonna shove it all in here for anyone to read and make use of if needed

first few are from a dicussion elsewhere , where the peeps were kinda
grumpy so my response i copied was from that cuz i gots lots to do
today, so the tone my not be so good in all posts

but the info is primo, ask questions if you like , very very busy today
but i will get back to you as soon as i can take a coffee break

about high oil prices first

have mr president keep the incentives to get off fossil fuels
active in the options, this year we at our home will be free
of oil burner for the home, electric water boiler is coming in
line to heat our baseboard heating home, also we are allowed
to log on to our dominion resources and opt out of fossil fuel
and neuclear fuel and opt for electric from wind power

also available in texas **
we recycle, freecycle, and drive fuel efficient vehicles till we
trade them in for hybrids or electric for our needs is fine

you know you got options that include more than just getting
angry about the way things are going

live greener on your own turf
shop from local farmers
both do alot to lower costs locally to communities

and get active in community awareness
no reason all these malls and huge walmarts and such
cannot be self sufficient in energy
they have some already up and running
no reason all large businesses on huge property shouldnt
make thier own power,,

but ofcourse thats my own opinion

got a home??? look for dsire incentives for it

so is whole foods industry and many others

so many other things can be done to ease it

also, btw , we were to have a new plant here
for the production of ethanol but ofcourse
not one person wants it in thier back yard so to speak
not even with the additional jobs it would bring

but keep complaining

and soon research shows the ethanol can be made
from cellulose( left over plant materials)
instead of high priced corn an soy

also in the works at the college near by
is a newly derived fuel from algae, plain ole algae

now you know the oil guys gonna have them youngsters
on some hit list

imagine all the world running on fuel from sea or farmed algae

there are possibilities with science and cooperation from
us people, but lets not dream okay

lets just complain about it









ofcourse the entire us cannot do without oil
however we can cut the usage waaaaaaaaay down

the following is stuff done by myself and friends
to keep the landfills free of too much junk and also to
reduce our own usage of foriegn oil

its also money smart

for those of you owning older deisel even new ones
they can be fitted with a kit for 800 dollars currently
to make the truck car tractor bus run on regular oil
yes vegetable oil from costco, no saudi at all

and better yet, you can collect oil from friendly resturaunts
and filter it in the back yard (my friend has filter in back of
vw bug van) and feed that to the tank, (she no longer pays
for any fuel at all , shes got that many resturaunts in order)

she collects wood from freecycle and craiglist from people
who have thier trees cut down and topped off, she uses that
to warm her home in the cooler weather in wood stoves
shes also on windpower in the local power company offers

again no saudi oil

and good for the environment is the windpower and cutting
back on the stuff goin the the landfills

we compost for our property and buy organic local produce
it costs bunches of money to get bananas from venezuela
just cause they are off season
and pesitcides arent good for anyone and cost much money
to buy , transport and filter out of the water when it makes
it to the waste management in storm water

buying locally grown produce supports our farmers and families
and organically grown eggs , chickens, turkey , duck is easy to find

soo much more but it makes some people grumpy to tell them
quit yer grumpin and do sumptin

theres a texas wind power program that currently produces
4% of local needs for power and growing as people sign on
solar only provides what you can store or use its okay
wind and water and whatever take up the slack
wind works in as little as 3mph winds day and night

oh btw the local jiffy lube is fitted with filters so they use
every drop of oil from oil changes to heat their business
there is a very lucrative opportunity for the person who
decides to collect used oil from companies that dont reuse it

the local newspaper will take used oil from oil changes to also
use it for heating the huge building

lowering the constant feeding on the teats of saudi oil
should be a daily way of life for all who can

btw even newer trucks and deisel powered vehicles can be
fitted to run on veggie oil, and never stop at a gas station again
just the grocery store if need be

now are ya gonna do anything to improve the situation
whether its foriegn or local

the reaction to the action can eclipse the original sting

with that in mind , people can walk around thinking the
govt is doin plenty to keep them safe and the world has
returned to peachy keen again , with the exception that
our men and women are still being wounded and killed out there

out of sight out of mind

worse thing is , its all about the mighty dollar

you see, we could be off outside oil
only the money wont have it
them big wigs that wont let go of the mighty dollar
and the idiots that serve them

oh yeah then theres the ones that live life as usuall
waste is their way of life

could it be a wake up and smell the coffe moment
i think so

theres tons of things to do
even if you just work toward bringing awareness
to people who have given up thier personal power
and have become sheep in a world of wolves

by a friend of mine
shes a writer of many published works

she has this concept that when energy is directed toward a focused idea
it generates its own power to bring this focus to life

every 15th of the month many people around the world go to bed and
dream of peace on earth.....
there must be something to this because every year seems the christmas day
holiday and easter is more peaceful than other days

with that in mind, just a thought, if you like
begin peace dreaming with us

many people think they cant do a thing about the state of the world
or they have nothing to give to the homeless, poor children , other

but this is free, no cost to you, and it benifits a great many people
and the dreamer as well

2008 Election Issue !!

GET A BILL STARTED TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOC. SEC.

This must be an issue in '2008' Please! Keep it going.


SOCIAL SECURITY:

This is worth reading It is short and to the point. Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society . They felt they should have a special plan for themselves.. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.


In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.


For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die...

Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments.

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800, 000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the last years of their lives.

This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADA....! ZILCH..


This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan... The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer). We can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.


Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to:

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us.

Then sit back.....

And see how fast they would fix it.

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

PAWS is back, and if we don't fight it now, it is very likely to become law. The first and best place to kill PAWS is to get SA 3723 removed on the Senate floor, where it is now. To do that, write to your own ( U.S. ) Senators asking that they remove SA 3723 from SA 3500.


This ALERT has everything you need to start.



This is IMPORTANT. Think of it as breeder licensing for all 50 states at a single whack; while it won't get the smallest breeders of dogs right away, it will be easily amended in future years to take out more of us. And home breeding of pedigreed cats will be gone from the beginning.

If passed, the amendment will effectively remove the care and nurture of pet animals from the security of our homes and force breeders to raise animals in an institutional environment that is not conducive to a sound, well socialized animal.



H.R. 2419 (House of Representatives bill 2419) is the 2007 farm bill; it would provide almost 300 BILLION dollars in government money for thousands of different purposes considered farm-related over a five year period but it also makes many other changes to federal law.
This bill has passed the House of Representatives and is now in the Senate where it has already been through the Senate Agriculture Committee. It is now being debated (a bit now and a bit then) on the Senate floor.
With that much money in play, the Senate naturally has its own ideas. Those ideas are in SA (Senate Amendment) 3500, "An amendment in the nature of a substitute" which translates as "This is what WE think the farm bill should look like." Nobody on earth has read the whole thing, but we can guess that while it looks a lot like HR 2419, there
are hundreds of tweaks up, down, and sideways, a few of them big deals.

SA 3500 has itself been amended a few hundred times and one of those amendments is SA 3723 -- our old friend 'PAWS,' but with some new problems.

With this many changes in play, it is most likely that the Senate WILL pass SA 3500, BUT PROBABLY ONLY AFTER MORE CHANGES. The Senate version of H.R. 2419 will then go to a House-Senate Conference Committee to work out the differences. The CC can be guaranteed to make yet more changes.

The conference version of H.R. 2419 will then go to both the House and Senate to be passed: Both houses must pass a bill in EXACTLY the same form. Once H.R. 2419 has passed both houses it goes to the president for signature -- that's usually a routine matter, although President Bush has been threatening a veto over one of the provisions of the
current bill.

So, while SA 3500 is technically not part of the farm bill yet, we believe it does contain SA 3723 at this time and that SA 3500 in some form WILL become H.R. 2419. Thus, we need to start worrying AND ACTING, now.

The first and best place to kill PAWS is to get SA 3723 removed on the Senate floor, where it is now. To do that, write to your own ( U.S. ) Senators asking that they remove SA 3723 from SA 3500.

Below are the enumerated reasons that the amendment SA 3723 needs to be removed from SA 3500, and SA 3723 of H.R. 2419.



1.) The Amendments would limit breeders to an arbitrary number of animals that may be sold in a given year without having a USDA approved facility. That number is 25 animals or six litters in any given year. One pup, or one kitten over those numbers, and the breeder/rescuer will be subject to build a USDA approved building. This will lead to numerous healthy animals being killed to avoid compliance with federal law. These arbitrary numbers could be amended far lower in the future with no public notice, debate, or input.



2.) Calls for third party inspectors from non-profit organizations in private homes. This is a giving over of police powers to a non-governmental organization.



3.) Reclassifies hobby breeders as dealers, and holds them to a set of care, and housing laws, and regulations that are not yet written. This is in direct violation of the Bill of Rights, Amendment IV.



4.) Proposes to regulate on a federal level that which is best left to each state, and locale.



5.) The existing Animal Welfare Act is more than sufficient to deal with the real problems of animal neglect and over use.



6.) The amendment is supported by animal rights groups whose stated goals are not the care, and nurture of pet animals, but their total abolition from the ownership, care and use of the people. Amendment SA 3500, and Amendment 3723 of H.R. 2419 takes the animal rights zealots several steps closer to their goal.



7.) The Amendments allow not-for profit groups to import animals from foreign nations into the United States unchecked. These animals are already being imported in vast numbers bringing in diseases that are not endemic to the USA , and for which we have no medical protocols. Shelters are being shut down all across the nation to stop the spread of these diseases brought in with these animals. An 11 year old California boy was bitten by an imported shelter dog, contracted a strain of rabies that resisted all treatment, and died. It is not only extremely irresponsible to allow for the unchecked importation of animals by non-profit groups it is a national health threat.



8.) These amendments are a direct violation of our rights of commerce.



9.) These amendments violate our right to travel unimpeded upon our legitimate business.



In conclusion there can be no workable compromise to amendment SA 3500, and Amendment SA 3723 of H.R. 2419. The existing Pet Animal Welfare Act is sufficient, if enforced, to control breeders and animal dealers as it was passed in 2003.
